PROSPER PLACER UPDATE:

Prosper Placer accepted 8 new families into the program at the beginning of April!  This brings to 12 the Change Leaders working to take real steps out of poverty with the support of our more than 40  volunteer allies.  A new learning exchange has begun to reflect on the many aspects of poverty in our community and to learn strategies for long term change we can use to strengthen our families.  Families with whom we have walked for a full year now report many successes!  New and better paying jobs, improved housing and the joy of being part of the Prosper Placer supportive community meeting gor a meal and learning activities each monday evening here at Pioneer UMC.  We are adding staff for Childcare as we now have about fifteen teens and children attend with their families.  We are looking for loving and experienced child care givers to add to our team.  Please contact our Program Supervisor Katja Pollmann  if you want more information or wish to work with us in any way.  Thank you for all your support, especially the weekly use of the Pioneer church facility!
